Thesis title: A new framework for local assembly quality assessment.During my thesis I have developed a bioinformatics framework for providing local quality information of an assembly using genomic reads and multiple genome assemblies. This framework contains a scoring algorithm based on the mapping of paired sequencing data and a method for comparing multiple assembly solutions. As a case study the framework was applied to the recently sequenced and assembled tomato genome, which is published as a high- quality genome sequence.
