At 27 years old, I was playing the worst golf of my life.I grew up around the game and have had a golf club in my hands since I was 8 years old. I played competitively through college and could stand toe-to-toe on the course with just about anyone off the street.In 2016, I had just finished business school and moved to San Francisco chasing a dream in Silicon Valley. I rarely played and, when I did, my swing felt like an unfolding lawn chair. The consistency, my feel around the greens, everything was a mess - I just didn't enjoy golf the way I remembered.It took me more than 5 years to get my game back.
