Senior Project ManagerHalliburton/Landmark Graphics Jan 2005 - May 2015Greater Seattle AreaI managed the process of creating and updating training courses for Landmark Learning ($18M revenue in 2014). Courses were designed to teach customers how to use Landmark software applications, and were both instructor led and web based. Some of my accomplishments at Landmark included:✔ Creating a system to update out of date training materials. Initially, 7 classes were updated as a pilot project, with a payout of 6 months. This process was was subsequently used dozens of times to keep training classes in sync with the most current software releases.✔ Managing a project that involved leading an international team of 28 people, updating training materials for 10 instructor-led courses. The deadlines for this project were short, requiring meticulous preparation, coordination, communication, and tracking. The courses were done to a high level of quality and successfully published in coordination with a software release. ✔ Leading the project to create Landmark’s first web based training class. This was a high-profile project, and the resulting class enabled students to have a basic knowledge of the application before attending instructor led training. The WBT won an award of excellence from the Society of Technical Communications.✔ Managing teams that developed three new advanced training courses, each one of strategic importance. These classes were designed to teach students best practices for completing integrated workflows between geophysicists and geologists. ✔ Facilitating ‘Follow the Expert’ (FTE), live, global, web-based technical programs for internal staff on focused, application workflows.✔ Leading a project that successfully piloted the hosting of Landmark Graphics software and class data sets through a third party, allowing customer students to run the software virtually. This allowed for online classes and reduced classroom setup effort.✔ Member of team that selected, implemented, and administered the Expertus Learning Management System. -
