As Epic Owner, Roel cooperates with stakeholders and SME’s to define the Epic including potential benefits, costs, risks and identification of business stakeholders. He is responsible for driving individual Epics from identification through the portfolio Kanban system, to the go no go decisions and finally to implementation. After accepting the Epic for implementation, he works with the Product Owners and the Agile Release Train Teams to initiate the development activities necessary to realize the Epic’s business benefits. He is currently involved in the following epics: 1) Defining and implementation of a business role structure for identity & access management 2) Implementing the privileged access management policy. He successfully closed the following epics: 1) Setup an automated CMDB/LCM administration 2) Migration of >100 Api’s to a higher version of Mulesoft 3) Replatforming of the main pension administration systems to a cloud environment. In 2023 he has been involved as LCM Lead for 2 of the 6 value streams managing the life cycle of over 125 business applications and liaised with the IT platform department to coordinate interdependent features. He was a member of the Decentral Health Committee, LCM Community and the IT Process Group for Configuration Management. In 2024 these activities were handed over to other colleagues.
