I love to learn. I always have. I feel it's important to learn as much as possible about everything I can. My interests range from the practical to the esoteric. I also love to fix things and like taking things apart and putting them back together again just to learn how they work.I come from a family of artists, engineers, and designers so I enjoy all things artistic and technical and seek out the places where these interests overlap. For me, writing, photography, videography/filmmaking, and web design and development are terrific examples of this and I seek out opportunities to put my skills to use in these areas.I have over 20 years of Systems Administration and Support experience and over 5 years of Front End Web Development experience. I have spoken in front of large groups of people and performed technical training for coworkers and users. I have written thousands of pages of technical documentation and read a hundred times that. I have supported networks of tens of thousands of computers and users and spent hours on end debugging errors in thousands of lines of code or undoing the effects of malware to salvage important data. I have also served at smaller companies where I was the only technical person and had to do whatever it took to fix a problem since there was no one else to fix it. Such situations have taught me to adapt and keep moving forward.I feel that any day where I can use something I have learned, learn something new, and teach something I know, is a good day. That's the real pleasure buried within work for me.
