My main responsibility was to lead a team of Systems, Network, Network Security, Cyber Security, Information Security, SOC, SIEM, and Help Desk professionals. As part of these responsibilities, I was required to design, configure, deploy, and maintain an infrastructure that was secure and scalable that satisfied the company's objectives. I was responsible for Edge and LAN refreshes at 2 warehouses and 5satellite offices, using Meraki and Fortigate. P2V migrations for physical servers to VMWare for increased availability and fault tolerance. I completed a merger of the two Microsoft 365 tenants. I architected and developed automated systems to reduce admin overhead cost as well as increase End User efficiency in all departments; using power automate and other M365 automation tools.In accordance with NIST CSF and industry best practices, I developed and created a new compliance program that decimated new standards and policies throughout the entire organization . I was required to audit and review all network changes through pentesting cycles and red team attacks, and where possible, prior to deployment.I trained and developed all IT personnel on key topics. I was required to interface with stakeholders at all levels in order to ensure consistency and by-ins. I created strategy documents for the C-suite. Created and conducted BC/DR planning that included creating and managing table top exercises.I Managed an annual budget of $2.5 Million for the IT team and reported CapEx and OpEx for the upcoming years projects annually to the CFO.

I was promoted to Head of Cyber Security to fill the gap of Cyber Security with in the IT department. I was hired to bring my experience to the IT team and help solve longer term problems as well as create mitigation solutions resulting from incidents. During these two months, I familiarized myself with the network and systems in use. I conducted exploratory network scans to help understand the network and prioritize tasks. The company had critical issues with email and wire fraud that I was required to solve. I managed all incident responses and created and implemented the solutions resulting from those incidents. Due to the sensitive nature of these activities and the potential impact, specificity will not be provided. I was able to deploy all the above solutions to mission critical assets. As a result of deploying mitigation solutions against the incidents, attacks were less frequent and some attacks completely stopped.I conducted an evaluation of Cloud and network security firewalls (host and boundary) and created solutions to properly configure and manage firewalls (security groups, acls, split tunneling). I successfully completed implementing the corrected mitigation and firewall configurations.

As a team leader at the Network Operations Center, I was responsible for designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and monitoring large-scale networks for client and contract specifications. In between projects, I evaluated the California Telecom network and systems for improvements and hardening. I also worked with the VP of Network Infrastructure on internal upgrade projects such as, VMWare vCenter deployments at three data centers, ESXi host upgrades, Data Center network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, Versa SD-WAN head end deployments, and migrations from older legacy services to newer more modern services.I was also the primary engineer assigned to Cyber Security Incident Responses in the event a client requested the service. The Incident Responses included Ransomware Attacks, the MikroTik Chimay-Red, PewDiePie printer attacks, and Business Email Compromises. I completed three perimeter vulnerability assessments for our clients and provided detailed reports on my findings. For the vulnerability assessments, I used various metasploit tools including but not limited to OpenVAS, NMAP, WP scanner, meterpreter, and Hydra.

Projects involved troubleshooting, configuring, deployment and management of firewalls, large-scale wi-fi solutions, SD-WAN, Private Cloud, CentOS, and Ubuntu.

I was a frontline resource for clients as a Network Engineer I. I answered incoming NOC calls and identified the clients issue(s), or provided additional questions we needed to answer in order to properly isolate and identify the issue. I was responsible for the basic level investigations including response times, packet loss, jitter measurements, CPU and memory observations, log review, bandwidth analysis, uptime, speed duplex, and errors on interfaces in a mixed vendor network.

At P5, I was one of two web developers. We designed websites for SMB’s and managed a public forum website that was owned by P5 directly. I was informed that the public forum website had a problem with moderation of the posts so I developed scheduled jobs in phpMyAdmin to look for strings in the tables for the posts and delete posts that contained a match to a given list of words. I also developed standard operating procedures so if P5 wanted to onboard more developers, the time to turn up the developer would be reduced. I also designed, deployed and managed an internal CRM for leads and conversion tracking for the sales team using SugarCRM.

I was a member of a team of 4 administrators that managed 40+ contracts of remote support and or on-site support. We deployed domain servers, SQL databases, FTP Servers, Terminal Servers, managed networks and systems, and ran a store front for walk in business.

This was the first small computer shop I had worked for. Consumer level electronic device repairs, system restores, data back ups, baking boards and more basic repairs preformed here.

I started as an Office Supplies Associate, ended as a Manger on Duty. During my time at Staples, I rolled out Easy Tech 2.0 for my region, drove sales for Easy Tech, trained managers and techs on procedure and repair tools. The height of my time at Staples came from the 2 years I spent as an Easy Mobile Tech. I was responsible for On-Site service calls, In-Store repairs that the normal tech could not repair, training, parts ordering, Loss Prevention in regards to repair, warranty programs, and advanced On-Site services. During my time as an Easy Mobile Tech, I preformed one of the first server installs for Staples Easy Tech.
