My functional group is responsible for the validation of new products and processes. We assemble cross-functional teams and lead activities to document the safety and repeatability of said processes. I am also responsible for aiding in the design and development of new test methods.

Following my graduation from the GOLD Program, I returned to my Parent Company, Vistakon, in Jacksonville, FL. Vistakon manufactures Acuvue brand contact lenses as part of the Medical Device and Diagnostics sector of Johnson & Johnson.

My final rotation with the GOLD Program rounded out my sector and functional experiences. As a Supply Chain Planner for Baby brand Johnson's products, I managed three contract manufacturing sites, delivering exceptional results in both customer service as well as inventory while contributing with numerous continuous improvement projects.I exceeded stretch goals for fill rates with all three contract sites, and was able to reduce inventory between 10 and 20% across the board. I successfully launched numerous new products on time, and led cross-functional dual-path efforts to mitigate supplier-related raw material issues. At one contract site, maintained a fill rate over 10% higher than sku's I did not manage.Also, developed a Bottom Up Inventory Model to aid with our transition into a new Inventory system, and delivered creative solutions to capture abstract figures for Display Inventory, WIP, discontinuations and SLOB.Project to transfer significant volume in wash products between contract sites. Ensured no gaps in customer service, maintained minimal intermittant impact to inventory figures, and avoided MDA costs generally associated with similar transfers.

The Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) Program at Johnson & Johnson includes three 8 month rotations and four dedicated 2 week training sessions held at the Corporate Offices. The trainings provide diverse experience to prepare leaders of the future. Rotations include all sectors of J&J and a wide variety of operating companies and business units.Training included Ethics, Finance, Supply Chain Logistics and External Manufacturing, Business Advocacy, Emotional Intelligence, Performance Management, Peer Coaching, PSMD (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver), Business Continuity Planning, Personal Branding, FPX (Flawless Project Excellence), Virtual Teaming, Cultural Awareness, Strategic Tax Planning, Conflict Management, Change Management, New Product Simulation, and Bottom-line Financial Simulation. My rotations included Quality Analyst in the MD&D Sector in Jacksonville, FL, Production Supervisor in the Pharma Sector in Vacaville, CA, and Supply Planner in the Consumer Sector in Skillman, NJ.

Supervisor for TMG Production, focusing on Overlabeling and Cartoning processes for the second rotation as part of the Johnson & Johnson GOLD Program.Provided daily work instruction and resource deployment to 30 technicians to meet business needs and cross-training goals. Drove improvement in Business Goals as reflected by increase in management-evaluated site rating from 4.29 to 5.09 during leadership tenure with significant improvements across the board (Yield, OEE, Cost/Unit, Quality and Cycle Time). Served as Kaizen Leader, and improved compliance as well as cross-functional training for direct reports. Developed and implemented controlled documents to meet stretch goal for new manufacturing processes (Overlabeling, Cartoning). Developed and implemented simulation models to evaluate process capacities and create staffing plans for new product launch. Lead cross-functional teams to create and implement corrective actions to maintain launch project timelines.Led Kaizen process to drive improvements to all areas of production, as well as an initiative to create a visual factory. Reduced changeover times and increased yield through creation of awareness and tracking tools.Led montly team meetings to address issues and deliver plans to attain strategic goals. Began my rotational experiences with the Johnson & Johnson GOLD Program as a Quality Analyst and Project Leader.Undertook a project to reduce discrepancies between numerous Inventory systems used on site. Identified key stakeholders to form a cross-functional team to deliver engineering solutions to wide-scoping project. Delivered solutions that exceeded the stretch goals set in the project charter, as well as improved compliance and cut costs.Additionally, led a project aimed at identifying customer requirements for cosmetic standards. Sought out business partners in Ireland and Japan to ensure global alignment.Also responsible for day to day quality management and reporting. Sought feedback from line supervisors and management to increase utility of production meetings and improved on time reporting by 30%. Developed step by step standard work presentations to improve quality and reduce waste.

Summer Internship with Siemens Power Generation following my Junior year. Responsible for re-designing ventilation system for chemical fume hoods and cabinets at a fuel cell manufacturing facility. Meticulously mapped entire facility's ventilation network through hand measurement and created a model using AutoCAD. Performed flow analysis on all outlets to assess state of the system and capability as well as identify problematic areas. Redesigned system to maximize utility and identified specs for new blower. Obtained quotes from numerous suppliers and made recommendation to site leadership.Completed project in 2 months, 1 month ahead of goal. Expanded project scope significantly. Sought out additional responsibilities and projects.This was a terrific opportunity for my personal development. Upon arrival, I had no HVAC experience and was intimidated by the scope of my internship. By leveraging the experience within my network, I was able to teach myself the skills necessary to complete the task as well as expand my responsibilites to help the company.
