I am the managing partner of the New Jersey office of Fisher & Phillips, LLP. I've practiced labor and employment law for more than 30 years. My practice includes both litigation and counseling of clients. I have trial experience in bench and jury trials as well as arbitration proceedings and have litigated cases involving such matters as race, sex and age discrimination, wrongful discharge, wage and hour laws, assault and battery, traditional labor law involving union-management relations, and employee benefits disputes. I routinely counsel clients on the appropriate handling of disciplinary matters, employee terminations, compliance with employment statutes and state and federal regulations dealing with wages, leaves of absence, and employee-benefit plans. I assist clients by reviewing and revising employee handbooks, employment contracts, and corporate policies on wide ranging topics such as alcohol and drug testing, discrimination and harassment complaints and disability leave.
