Coordinated, implemented, and assessed several large-scale events (such as Convocation) as part of Carnegie Mellon's week-long First Year Orientation 2018 program. Part of small team of students that planned and organized entire program. Involved scheduling 200+ events, hiring and leading a student staff of 150+ members, and managing a large budget to welcome a class of 1,575+ first years. Program is nationally acclaimed. Directly in charge of managing a staff of 30 students and coordinating all Orientation activities for Mudge House, one of the 6 first year dorms.

Completed an independent study at the Emerging Technology Center on robot-human interaction patterns with the Turtlebot robot and the Microsoft Kinect sensor. Integrating the Kinect into the Turtlebot platform through the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework in C++ in order to enhance the robot's interaction capabilities.

Developed an automated regression test suite to test the performance of large Wi-Fi network deployments. The goal of the project was to measure and analyze the performance characteristics of large Wi-Fi networks to determine the breaking points of networks and the effects on the performance of individual devices. The test suite was developed in Python with multi-threading capabilities to allow for faster test runtimes as well as simultaneous streaming to and from all connected devices to saturate the network. After a regression run, I also processed and visualized the throughput vs. time data to find patterns.

Worked on calibrating the stereo vision system for the Da Vinci Minimally Invasive Surgery robot using the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework in C++. Also worked on improving the visual feedback from the Medical Snake robot by analyzing the quality of the camera and lighting system.

High school research internship in the Laboratory for Autonomous Systems Research (LASR). Developed an autonomous pan-tilt-zoom camera to detect and track objects of interest in mapped and unmapped environments. The goal of the project was to assist swarms of drones in search-and-rescue applications by providing a set vantage point with intelligence and autonomy. Technologies used include the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework, C++ with OpenCV for object detection and focus measurement, and an MBED microcontroller to handle motor control and autofocusing.
