Commanding officer of a 1400 person Regional Support Group consisting of an Aviation Battalion, Transportation Battalion, Military Intelligence Company, Financial Detachment and an Acquisition Detachment. Supervise all training and readiness oversight of these units as well as being prepared for world-wide deployment to direct base camp operations in support of Army contingency operations. The 151st is also prepared to deploy in support of consequence management or disaster relief operations to support state and local public safety organizations.

Hq'S Massachusetts National Guard, Hanscom Afb

Directed all policies, resource management and execution of programs pertaining to Army Guard mobilization, training, plans, readiness, force development and modernization. Developed and prepared command training guidance and directed a budget of over $50 million dollars. Provided daily oversight on the G3 section to include Counter Drug, Pre Mobilization Training Assistant Element (PTAE), Safety and Aviation. Determined all requirements and allocation of priority training resources. Maintained the readiness status of each unit in the command. Facilitated staff coordination with the G1, G4, HRO, CFMO, J5/7 and J3. Ensured all staff administrative actions were completed on time and in compliance with Army policy, NGB Policy and applicable regulations.

Army War College Fellow who participated in the National Security Fellowship program at HKS with a focus on homeland security and national security policy. Co-authored with three other fellows on "From Total Force to One Force: Closing the Army's Component Gaps" a study of the challenges to implement the Army's Total Force Policy.

Hq'S Massachusetts Army National Guard, Milford Ma

Served as the principle assistant to the Chief of the Joint Staff. Assisted the Joint Chief of Staff with daily coordination and staff actions of the JFHQ-MA staff directorates. Assisted the Chief with maintaining continuous communication with subordinate commands and staff directorates at the JFHQ to ensure focused, clear and relevant communication was maintained across the command. Provided assistance to the Army General Officers with nomination packets and federal recognition actions. Coordinated all congressional inquiries. Prepared reports, staff guidance documentation and publications along with a variety of other correspondence for the Command Group. Assisted the Chief and the Army GOs with senior officer efficiency report processing.

Dorchester, Ma

Commanded the 164th Transportation Battalion forward deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/ Responsible Drawdown of Forces consisting of a HQ detachment, three Heavy Truck Companies, two Logistical Support Vessels (LSV), two Landing Craft Utility (LCU) and a Theatre Operational Harbor Master Detachment. The 164th was one of the largest ground formations in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility. Responsible for the theater distribution of supplies and equipment by land and sea in support of 1st Theater Support Command (TSC), 1st Sustainment Brigade and USCENTCOM contingency operations. Responsible for the readiness, health and welfare of over 1500 Soldiers and their families along with the maintenance and readiness of over 800 tactical vehicles, four Army Watercraft and related support equipment. Directed mentorship, development and growth of the 164th TC BN leaders and for maintaining Army Values and Warrior Ethos.

Camp Curtis Guild, Reading Ma

Served as principle staff coordinator and established all staff operating procedures. Ensured the brigade commander and staff were informed on matters affecting the command. Coordinated and synchronized staff planning, assembled and supervised the staff during the military decision-making process (MDMP). Consolidated recommendations and information from staff officers and informed the commander. Delegated instructions received from the commander directly to the staff and provided guidance and support. Ensured adherence by subordinate units to JFHQ issues, policies and directives. Managed tracking of all administrative issues and mandated corrective action as necessary. Synchronized logistical support within the brigade. Supervised all full-time support personnel at brigade, battalions, and companies. Primary liaison between the brigade and JFHQ.

Hq'S Massachusetts Army National Guard, Milford Ma

Served as the director of military support, was direct liaison to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA). Coordinated Military Support to Civil Authority plans and operations to support homeland security and defense with the other Essential Support Functions (ESF). Performed direct liaison with MEMA and the Executive Office of Public Safety (EOPS) on HSPH-8 planning and implementation. Oversaw all high profile domestic support operations. Oversaw the CERFP to ensure they were properly organized and resourced. Supervised the integration of military support plans with federal, state and local agencies in developing plans, training programs and assisted them in increasing the capability of civilian agencies to cope with civil disturbances, natural disasters, other domestic emergencies and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and High Explosives (CBRNE) situations.
