Nothing gets me more excited than using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to push the boundaries of product design, performance, and innovation. I'm a true proponent of the value unlocked when competent numerical simulation is applied as a central pillar for product development. My experience includes 8 years in sensor-based wearables, and 10 years in high-performance flexible composites and plastics, all involving product development for mass production. I’ve led projects and I can also machine parts, assemble jigs, install sensors, and run tests. I’ve spent significant time on manufacturing floors domestically, in Taiwan, and China.Numerical simulation is the field I am passionate about. I’m well trained in the finite element method (FEM/FEA) along with the Verification & Validation (V&V) and Uncertainty Quantification (UQ) that it requires. I completed a M.Eng. degree in numerical simulation between 2015 and 2018 while continuing to work full time. I have specific training in nonlinear analysis, composites, optimization techniques, stochastics, VVUQ, and dynamic analysis. My professional experience includes an accumulated and documented 6,100 hours of dedicated FEA work for commercial product development.Personally, I like to run and bike. Endurance events are what I love, and I apply the same long-term view, personal challenge, and work ethic required to train for those events to my professional work.
