Rick Sims has nearly 30 years of experience helping people and organizations improve their ability to achieve success. During his professional career he has served as: Vice President of Development for an international training and consulting firm; Lead Professor of Management at the master and undergraduate levels; Behavior Psychologist/Consultant to a public school system; Director of a regional private rehabilitation corporation; Administrator of U.S. Department of Labor training programs.In 1988 Mr. Sims founded Human Systems Consulting to assists clients to plan, manage and develop high performance businesses and organizations. He provides managment consulting, research and training services to private businesses, educational institutions, healthcare, government and the non-profit organizations. He has specific expertise in creating systems for assessing and developing performance capability.Dr. Sims is also a post secondary educator. He is a past faculty member and consultant for the Center for Creative Leadership.He has served as a project development consultant and instructor for the University of San Diego, as an expert in entrepreneurship, and small business management and economic development. He has served as a Professor the areas of leadership, critical thinking and ethics at the the Art Institute of San Diego. He is a professor of management for the University of Phoenix where he instructs graduate and undergraduate students in psychology, business management, organizational behavior, leadership, and human resource management. He is past Lead Business Faculty Area Chair (LFAC) and Professor for Organizational Behavior, Human Resource, and Buisness Management. He is also a professor of human resource managmement for National Univeristy. He is and has been activity involve in community service activities; including serving as President and Vice Chairperson of CAN Insurance Services and is a past Board Member of the California Association of Non-Profits; Advisory Board Member and Board Chair of the San Diego Citizens' Review Board on Police Practices. He also served as a Member and Vice-Chair of the San Diego Mayor's Small Business Advisory Board.
