As Executive Director of CILE, I was the chief administrator for all aspects of the Center's activities, working under the direction of Academic Director Professor Ronald Brand. In this role, among other responsibilities I:• Oversaw all aspects of Pitt Law’s LL.M. and S.J.D. programs for foreign law graduates: • Marketing degree programs to prospective students, including international travel to recruitment fairs; production of webinars and videos; management of social media channels; and individual follow-up to convert contacts into matriculations • Evaluated applications and made admissions decisions in collaboration with faculty director • Advised LL.M. students on course selection and other matters • Taught introductory course and colloquium on U.S. law and legal practice • Coached LL.M. teams participating in annual investment arbitration moot• Designed and taught classes in U.S. law for a new summer program developed in conjunction with Pitt’s English Language Institute• Coordinated programs for J.D. students, including advising on international internships, study abroad, and the International and Comparative Law Certificate program• Planed and executed events that ranged from informational programs for students to major talks and conferences on international legal topics for the local and national legal communities• Negotiated memorandums of understanding and exchange agreements with foreign law schools and faculties of law• Administered a mid-six figure budget, including responsibility for compliance with university financial policies and collaboration with School and central University finance personnel

Transactional experience also included private equity and venture capital investments, tender offers, joint ventures, and equity and debt securities offerings, as well as general corporate advice to directors, management and investors. Clients represented included steel, fiberglass and other industrial manufacturers, engineering services companies, investment advisors, broker-dealers, other financial services providers, software development and distribution companies, software services providers, telecommunications firms, and waste management companies. Firm service included term on firm’s Hiring Committee, service on audit response committee, and presentations as an instructor for in-house CLE and corporate associate training programs.
