Product submittal resulted in first 510(k) submittal for a therapeutic laser product used in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome.o Prepared a comprehensive analysis of the medical device provisions of the Food and Drug Modernization Act for the Advamed Board of Directors.o Developed and implemented a comprehensive government relations strategy for Kodak Health Imaging, predicated on achieving market access for a telehomecare product.o Developed a reimbursement strategy for Vivometrics' LifeShirt, a continuous remote ambulatory patient monitoring device. Vivometrics was named one of the top sixty-five entrepreneurial companies in America by Fortune Magazine in May 2001.

Maintained liaison with industry government relations committee and provided interface with other trade associations in Washington. Monitored and analyzed legislation, developed testimony, wrote position papers, forwarded written comments, including draft bill language, to lawmakers on Capitol HIll. Prepared written comments on pending regulations, and edited bi-monthly newsletter summarizing legislative and regulatory concerns to industry.Staffed industry wide regulatory affairs committee, which addressed the following regulatory policies and initiatives: MDR reporting, 510(k) requirements, FDA Device Labeling Guidance, Medicare Coverage Determination Process For Medical Devices.
