Roel Harryvan is a retired SAP Engagement Management Director at Deloitte Consulting LLP. He joined Deloitte in 1995 and became a director in 2001. Throughout his time at Deloitte, Roel has worked with clients in the Consumer Business, Wholesale Distribution, Manufacturing, Mining and Media industries. He specializes in leading global organizations in these industries through multinational and complex business transformation projects. In September 2020 Roel retired from Deloitte.Roel is widely recognized for his skills to plan and execute strategies that deliver value and produce innovative solutions. He is a hands-on leader focused on quality and cost management while fostering productive relationships with colleagues, partners and clients. Most recently this included helping his client to roll out a global SAP template in seven countries in the Asia Pacific region by leveraging predominantly local resources and providing system, business and project management guidance.Within Deloitte, Roel leads the SAP Data Initiative and he is the Recruiting Champion at the Missouri University for Science & Technology. Roel delivers guest lectures on project management to undergraduate and graduate programs. Before he held these positions, he was the Technology Leader for Deloitte’s Food & Product Safety Initiative, the National leader for SAP Product Lifecycle Management, and the Consulting Leader for the St. Louis office of Deloitte.Outside Deloitte, Roel is the Honorary Consul in St. Louis for the Kingdom of The Netherlands.Roel earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Friesland Technical College in North Holland and a post graduate Entrepreneur Mechanical Engineering & Business Administration certificate from Technical University Alkmaar. He served as Armored Infantry Platoon Sergeant in the Royal Netherlands Army and completed an active tour of duty in The Middle East.
