Ross Chapman joined Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice group in the Washington, D.C. office in 2022. Ross’s practice covers both registered funds and private funds and includes SEC disclosures, offering memoranda, and compliance research. Ross maintains an active pro bono practice, including advising on name and gender changes for transgender individuals and supporting research on antiracist legal policies.While at Boston University School of Law, Ross served as a judicial intern for the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In addition, Ross was a research and teaching assistant for three professors and served as an editor of the Boston University Law Review, where their note was published in October 2022. They are the recipient of BUSL’s Alumni Academic Achievement Award for the highest cumulative average in the three-year JD program.
