Hi! I'm Rhea, a producer, writer and multimedia journalist based in Mumbai, currently working with VICE Asia. I'm also heading social media content for Leher, a child rights non-profit organisation.My work has appeared in The Hindu, VICE World News, The Times of India, Mint Lounge and more. I've reported on everything from gender and mental health to fashion and politics and worked with a range of brands — most recently as a creative producer for Ultrahuman.I'm currently working with VICE Asia as a documentary producer as well as producer and host for short form social media videos. I've previously worked with Scroll and Deutsche Welle as a producer for two documentary TV series — one on how women navigate life and culture called 'HER - Women in Asia' and the other, an award-winning show on climate change solutions called 'Eco India'. I've also written several scripts — including for VICE World News and Vitamin Stree.I graduated from La Martinière for Girls school (Kolkata) and Washington College (U.S.) with a BA in Political Science and English. I also participated in an exchange program at Leiden University (Netherlands). The highlight of my college career was being chosen as a finalist for The Sophie Kerr Prize, the largest undergraduate literary prize in the U.S.I'm currently based out of Mumbai and working on a range of projects from non-fiction / documentaries to features reporting to marketing and ad scripts.
