A little bit of wordplay harms no one. That's what I thought to myself when I initially started writing on plain old journals and worn off school books. And this is how I began my journey as an amateur writer. I never aspired to be a writer but writing every day gave me that push everyone requires in order to be better at something. The habit of writing was the reason I bagged my first ever internship as a content writer. Believe me, as a fresh advertising graduate, I was just as confused as any other young adult. But in today's time where everyone wants to be everything, I was thankful for how this one valuable skill had shaped my words and myself into a better version. After working a few internships I landed a job opportunity to write for a children's newspaper where I learnt a different style of writing. Here, along with writing articles I was simultaneously critiqued with feedback, which strengthened my vocabulary. This was the time when I discovered my newfound love for writing ad copies. It definitely took me time to figure out the creative wordplay and the challenging thought process it required but these two aspects made me gravitate towards it even more. Of course, writing copy is a skill that took people years to master and I am only a newbie. But in the end, no matter where I am you'd always find me striving to write an ad copy that sells!
