Rhea Steele, a seasoned business executive, has a career history spanning more than 30 years within the technology industry. In 2010, after 15 years of corporate experience followed by 14 years as a successful entrepreneur Ms. Steele co-founded Blue Ocean Logic, Inc. (BOL) a sales, marketing and management firm.Before Blue Ocean Logic was formed Ms. Steele was owner and President of Edge Technological Resources, Inc. (ETR), a management and technology consulting services firm. ETR provided innovative cost effective solutions that leveraged technology to meet the specialized needs of its customers. Under Ms. Steele’s 14-year leadership, ETR maintained a reputation for innovation and quality in the design and implementation of effective client solutions.Before entering into the ranks of entrepreneurship, Ms. Steele was a highly recognized Marketing Manager with the IBM Corporation where she managed a team of experienced marketing and technical professionals supporting large government and education clients.Ms. Steele has received numerous awards throughout her career for her professional accomplishments, including the 2009 Chicago Minority Business Development Council ‘Suppler of the Year’ award. Ms. Steele has also been recognized by:Who’s Who of Women Executives,Crain’s Chicago Business,WGN Television’s “People to People”. Her current and past membership affiliations include, Chairman, Chatham Technical Institute, Chicago Minority Business Development Council, University of Illinois Alumni Association, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Toastmasters International, Alliance of Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs (ABLE), (2005-2008), St. Sabina Academy School Board President, (2006-2008).Residing in Chicago, Ms. Steele attends the Faith Community of St. Sabina and is an active citizen supporting economic development and empowerment programs in her community and neighborhoods across Chicago.
