About meRogier started his creative career at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht. After working as web developper, graphic designer, art director and copywriter on national and international accounts at BBDO Amsterdam he joined Lemon Scented Tea in 2005 as creative director and started Friends & Foes in 2019. Besides working in advertising Rogier helped creating and is founder of sustainable businesses. From 2011 until 2017 he was partner at Plastic Whale, the first professional plastic fishing company in the world. In 2016 he co-founded WasteBoards, a company that makes skateboards from plastic waste.WasteBoardsAt WasteBoards they manufacture high quality skateboards from plastic bottle caps. They collect these bottle caps together with the visitors of music events, school kids, companies, etc. Each design is completely unique, because no single colour pattern is the same as any other. Their aim is to start WasteBoard Bakery's all over the world like the favella's in Rio or the Townships in South Africa where there is too much plastic and too little jobs.Friends & FoesAs of 2019 Rogier started a new advertising agency called Friends & Foes. The agency is specialised in building Story Brands, brands with a clear sense of identity, that stand for something and that fight against something. Its believe: the story behind a brand is its true strategy. That it defines a brand’s meaning for people and brings action to its purpose.
