Yusef Manufacturing Laboratories, or YMlabs, is a manufacturing company based out of the Freeport Center in Clearfield, Utah specializing in Cosmetics, OTC and Medical Devices. As the Quality Assurance Manager, I was constantly facing the challenge of finding the balance between maximizing efficiency while still meeting regulatory compliance.Duties:- Responsible for 2-3 QA technicians directly and company-wide quality issues and projects- Hosted facility audits for government agencies and clients (see below)- Controlled quality and compliance documentation per FDA, cGMP and ISO (9001 and 13485) standards (QMS, SOP, CAPA, NCR, SDS, etc.)- Trained plant employees with documentation (ROT) to ensure optimum quality and compliance using Lean management techniques- Integral member of the Quality Systems Unit (quality circle) which monitored and implemented long-term B2B and B2C company strategyNotable Projects:- Hosted Korean FDA (KFDA) Audit/Inspection - March 2016 (YMlabs)- Hosted US FDA Audit/Inspection - June 2016 (YMlabs)- Complete formation of YM Labs Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.- Hosted a variety of client inventory and quality inspections (YMlabs) - Analyzed and restructured numerous processes of the QA Dept at YMlabs to improve product quality and regulation. Some restructuring included: Entire SOP system, raw material retain system, chemical movement-card system, finished goods retain system, and more.
