Rhett is passionate about calling forth the creative expressions of others. She is trained in the Amherst Artists & Writers (AWA) method and leads writing workshops in MA and CT. She has been awarded prizes from contests including: The Women's National Book Association, NH Center for the Arts, and the Connecticut Poetry Award. Her work has been published in many journals including: The Worcester Review, Naugatuck River Review, Sojourners and Yankee Magazines, Spoon River Poetry Review, and in the books: Best Spiritual Writing 2000, and Knitting into the Mystery, and The Mud Chronicles: A New England Anthology. Her books are Willing Suspension (Antrim House, 2013) and The Braiding (Kelsay Books, 2019). Also forthcoming is The Double Nest (Fernwood, 2025). Her chapbook No Innocent Eye was co-winner of the 2012 Rane Arroyo Chapbook Contest (Seven Kitchens Press). She is also a visual artist and is certified to facilitate SoulCollage® workshops, a creative collage process that connects people to their intuition.
