I don't see my role as counting beans and making sure the ledger balances. I see my primary function as one of providing timely, useful and accurate information so business leaders can make the right decisions. I have worked in accounting for over fifteen years, in a magerial role for over ten years. I have worked in a variety of companies in a broad range of industries, and as a result I've seen a lot. I have seen what works and what doesn't. I have worked in places that are well-managed and places where they needed a lot of help.I prefer to work with smaller companies with big visions - people who have a purpose bigger than simply making money, people who desire to bring value to the world. These are usually organizations that also need a good CPA who can help establish and improve their accounting function. Which is what I do best - improving an organization's accounting function so they can get to the next level.
