As the global training manager, I developed an on-boarding training program designed to be global in nature and regionally and culturally customizable. Doing so allows FamilySearch to deliver a positive and consistent customer experience regardless of the customer's location. The program is based on proven adult-learning principles and is delivered to volunteer agents working from home in areas scattered around the world. It is done completely via online training and virtual classrooms. At the end of 2017, we were delivering the training to agents in 10 languages and 45 countries all while providing each student with a one on one learning experience and doing so in an average of one week less than the previous model.I also develop and oversee continuous training to 1300 agents, in 10 languages scattered around the globe. My passion lies in helping people succeed in their work and volunteer service. This has been done by getting to know the needs of my customer group as well as our volunteer demographic. My expertise lies in completing a thorough needs analysis to identify knowledge, skills, and abilities an employee or volunteer needs to succeed with FamilySearch. I then use the needs analysis and other data gathered, to construct a learning program that builds on past experience and engages the adult learner. My interests include scuba diving, wakeboarding, flyboarding, backpacking, gardening, and dogs. I love to explore new places and cultures.
