Leading lasting change for affordable housing using the community land trust model in Wake County.

Oversaw the development of best practice models for the State of NC. Including the development of training and procedures as well as the long term vision for the development of computer tools to advance the long range efforts in the State. Managed statewide consultant on call contracts, including development of project scopes, management of a $2.25 million dollar budget, approval of final products and technical oversight for projects. Supervised a modeling staff of 6 including work plan development, personnel training and technical guidance on travel demand modeling. His accomplishments included developing best practices for the Department including model tool development and non-modeling procedures, developing research topics and leading committees on funded research topics. Participation in other states modeling reviews to assistother State DOT’s in advancing their modeling practice.

Responsible for developing a model training manual(in TransCAD) and providing training for NCDOT staff, as well as teaching a graduate class at North Carolina State University. Oversaw the development of the Long Range Transportation Plan for the Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization Other aspects of his job included conducting air quality analysis for long-range planning efforts, updating and re-calibrating the Triangle Regional Model (Tranplan), traffic forecasting, coordinating Transportation Improvement projects and representing the NCDOT on MPO technical committees.
