Promoted to the role of General Manager of Manufacturing to oversee the business operations of 7 manufacturing divisions that fall under the TVH Parts Co. umbrella and operate in 4 US locations. Responsibilities include:- Provide direction, leadership, and strategic vision throughout the manufacturing operations.- Bring all manufacturing divisions onto a single, unified ERP platform (Epicor).- Develop standardized workflows to bring consistency to business processes across the various divisions.- Create a system which allows for new manufacturing acquisitions to be on-boarded easily.- Leverage ERP functionality to improve business processes and gain valuable insight about operations.- Provide visibility and analysis of manufacturing costs on a job-by-job and part-by-part basis.- Define the role, purpose, and benefit of manufacturing internally. Identify and target the specific business cases in which we choose to manufacture internally vs. purchasing from a 3rd party.- Streamline the supply chain from manufacturing into TVH distribution while maintaining cost-effective production volumes

Recruited to identify, plan, and execute projects to improve business operations across 6 manufacturing divisions that fall under the TVH Parts Co. umbrella. Responsibilities and accomplishments included:- Managed a project to implement Epicor ERP Software at two of the manufacturing divisions. The project was completed ahead of schedule, in less than 6 months, and at 55% of the estimated budget. - Developed a standardized set of performance metrics that could be applied across all of the manufacturing divisions.- Compiled and delivered month-end reports for all manufacturing divisions to the executive team.- Led a project to improve visibility and prioritization of Work Orders in the Squeegee division, which resulted in a reduction of back orders and improved fill rates.

Promoted to role as General Manager to oversee complete operations of the Kansas facility. Continued with all responsibilities as described in positions of Plant Engineer and Landfill Manager. New responsibilities and accomplishments included:- Developed new KPIs for the organization which brought new insight and visibility to the business.- Made improvements to the Quality Management System which led to certification in the latest ISO 9001:2015 standard.- Played a key role, at the corporate level, in implementation of a new company-wide ERP system. (Sage X3) Through managing a team of non-direct reports to implement additional functionality of the software and developing layout and content of many of the core reports.- Developed and implemented the first Monthly Production Forecast to communicate to the Sales team critical information regarding available plant capacity based on existing orders, inventory levels, and projected sales.- Conducted weekly “Level 10” meetings with my management team to ensure progress on quarterly goals which were aligned with our yearly objectives. In addition, as a team, we discussed and solved various issues throughout the plant.- Mentored key employees through training, reviews, 1-to-1s, and development of their quarterly goals.

Recruited by the ownership of Custom Alloy to help them expand their business outside of CA. Brought on to be a technical resource for the newly purchased manufacturing facility in KS. Responsibilities and accomplishments include:- Conducted numerous Air Quality Source Tests which concluded with successful results and brought facility into compliance.- Worked exhaustively with Kansas Department of Health and Environment to draft and finalize and new Class II Air Permit.- Managed various improvement projects to bring landfill into compliance with the existing Industrial Solid Waste Permit.- Responsible for all environmental reporting and permit renewals for Plant and Landfill.(MACT, AEI, TRI, EPCRA Tier II)- Led a 4-month continuous improvement project to better understand and utilize our Rotary Furnaces. (Process improvements led to 100% increase in output, generation of waste material was cut in half, a scrap processing database was developed which captured historical analysis, and operating costs were analyzed.)- Created and implemented numerous OSHA required safety programs throughout the plant.- Developed and implemented the Process Safety Management / Risk Management Program.- Designed modifications to the Reverberatory Furnaces which created a new product line (“spec sows”) to sell to our customers.- Redesigned ingot molds to improve strapping channels and improve surface finish.- Made improvements to the Preventative Maintenance program.- Drove numerous construction projects around the facility.

Shercon, Inc. was acquired by Caplugs – Protective Industries in May of 2012. The Design Engineers from Shercon were integrated into Caplugs existing team of Sales Engineers. We continued to operate as we had been in our roles and responsibilities at Shercon, but had now additional resources and the ability to sell the Caplugs line of plastic parts as well.- Worked with Design Engineering team to quote custom Injection Molded Plastic and Vinyl Dip Molded parts.- Managed a territory of 8 States with $15 million in sales. Including support to 18 Manufacturing (Sales) Reps.- Led the training of Caplugs Sales Engineers in regards to custom masking design and the Shercon product line.

Primary responsibility was the design and development of custom molded rubber parts. These parts provided customer-specific masking solutions to the finishing industry. Responsibilities included:- Designed custom masking solutions using Solidworks and Autodesk Inventor. (3D modeling + 2D detail drawings)- Provided engineering support to 2 salesmen with territories in the Midwest and Southeast.- Communicated directly with customer to provide all engineering support from initial concept, to quotation, to first article samples testing, including fit and application testing, and eventually to production.- Maintained Project Status Database to track the progress of all projects. - Traveled nationally to customers’ facilities to test masking designs or to gather information for new projects.- Worked closely with manufacturing facility (Hangzhou, China) to resolve any tooling or manufacturing issues.- Work with internal Engineering Team to develop new standard masking product lines.

Responsible for the coordination of the Research and Development Department- Selected and scheduled vehicles into R&D for prototype mock up.- Produced documentation such as Instruction Manuals, Bill of Materials, and Product Releases.- Managed the Master Application Database. (Which products fit on which vehicles.)- Responsible for product photography and touch-up using Adobe Photoshop.
