I invested into the Franchise with an Entrepreneurial spirit as a first-time business owner. Learned a lot in a short amount of time, much came from direct mail sales coaching and on your own, on-the-job training. Unfortunately, the timing wasn't good for a startup in a new city/territory (for me) without a known network in place. COVID's impact on small businesses, their staffing and other obvious challenges did not make for an ideal market for Direct Mail card packs, essentially, our only deliverable.Results were mixed for clients during that time and retaining newer clients was difficult. We were without a solid alternate digital solution while competing for the same or very limited marketing spend budgets, if any existed at all for many small businesses.It was difficult to sell our solution, given the various factors, mostly due to the epidemic. We also experienced multiple cost increases for postage, paper and print during the same period that I had the business. All of which negatively impacted my ability to earn any profit.Given some other unusual factors, we amiably parted separate ways. Meanwhile, I did meet some wonderful people, both as clients and other successful RSVP owners. For me, it just was not the right fit, given the timing and circumstances beyond my control. I am no longer associated with RSVP Advertising or Alliance Franchise Brands. RSVP is a direct response marketing company under Alliance Franchise Brands.
