Rhett Wilson has served as the Chief Development Officer at the White House Historical Association/White House Endowment Trust since 2016. During his tenure he led the growth of philanthropic revenues by 3,000% and the number of unique donors to the Association expanded from 103 to over 15,000 annually. From 2023 to 2024, Wilson designed and led the Association’s first capital campaign, an 18-month raise of $85.5 Million. These funds launched the Association’s first interactive White House museum, The People’s House: A White House Experience, a 30,000 square foot facility adjacent to the White House complex, designed to serve 25,000 visitors each month.Wilson also serves as an advisor to university deans and presidents, non-profit boards and CEOs, presidential library foundations, philanthropists and family foundations on the topics of philanthropy, strategy and vision processes.Previously, Rhett held appointments as Associate Dean at Johns Hopkins University, and Assistant Dean at George Mason University. Earlier in his career, Rhett raised funds for his alma mater, Arizona State University.Rhett Wilson is a founding board member of the Caravanserai Project, and a member of the board of directors of the LGBTQ+ Victory Institute. He previously served on the Board of Trustees of Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY), and the advisory board of Alaris, a signature verification technology firm, and joint-venture with Rolls Royce, Inc. He is a former city councilman of Kearny, Arizona.
