I oversaw the daily operations of two communities in Irving, TX, 74 and 192 units. Both communities have undergone multi-million dollar renovations, repositining them in their respective market and increasing the NOI by 12%. I have also customized and implemented a preventative maintenance program to meet the specific needs of each of these formerly neglected assets. Through daily training and goal setting, I have developed an equally neglected team into polished professionals which has impacted the communities with a 15% increased resident retention rate and an average occupancy rate of 96%.

During my time with LumaCorp, I was responsible for the monthly rental collections, ensuring that all residents paid their balances prior to month end closeout and maximizing monthly income. I was also responsible for resident retention, managing all upcoming lease renewals and resident satisfaction ratings. I was a pivotal role in creating and implementing a strong outreach marketing plan designed to drive qualified traffic to the communities I represented. Additionally, I was a leasing professional, maintaining a high closing ratio and actively contributing to the overall NOI.

I began my career with Camden and received an astounding foundation for the past 11 years. I began as a Leasing Consultant and was rapidly promoted to Assistant Manager and then Community Manager, working on assets as small as 188 units up to nearly 1,000 units. During this time, I filled the roles of Leasing Consultant, Assistant Manager, Community Manager, Business Relations Manager and Mentor. As a Leasing Consultant, I maintained a minimum 40% closing ratio and helped my community maintain an average of 97% occupancy. As an Assistant Manager, I turned the collections at my community around, being the first Assistant in more than 5 years to consistently collect over 99% of the monthly billing. As a Community Manager, I led my team to success as the #1 performing community, company wide, for 3 months preceding an incredibly successful disposition. As a mentor of both Leasing Consultants and Assistant Managers, I had a 90% promotion rate and was often requested by my colleagues to mentor their new hires. This was my favorite role in the organization and fueled my passion for education in this industry. As the Business Relations Manager for the DFW area, I established and developed relationships with leading businesses in the area with the goal of adding them to our Preferred Employer Program. Prior to leaving this role, I created a team of on-site employees to take over my duties known as the Business Relations Committee, which is still in place within the organization. In 2006 I successfully completed Camden University and in 2008 I was the proud recipient of an A.C.E. Award, a peer-nominated award based on accomplishments throughout the preceding year.
