Someone once said to me careers are not linear, they are spaghetti. I've always loved that saying because when you look at my career history and experience, it is certainly more spaghetti. But the common thread woven through everything I have done, whether it be assisting legal staff, managing a team of support staff, or ensuring a video production is delivered on time and in budget, it's that I get shit done (and done really well). I call myself a doer of many things because throughout my career I have always worn many hats and I wear them well. I am a firefighter, storyteller, people wrangler, knowledge holder, efficiency creator, problem solver, on-feet thinker, improviser and juggler extraordinaire. I am both creative and practical, attentive of detail and mindful of the big picture, and a feeler who knows how to think. I love to fix things and help people, and really that is my main motivation in all that I do. Whether its editing a wedding highlight reel or creating a new process, I enjoy work that assists people and makes their lives better. Also, whether it is a highlight reel or a new process I approach each task with creativity. I once solved a resourcing issue based on how broadway musicals ensure a full cast for 8 shows a week for years on end. Creativity is in my blood. I am an excellent addition to any team or project, not only because the skills I bring, but the attitude and personality they are paired with. Another saying I've always kept front of mind is that a leader brings the weather. I don't need to be the leader of a team to ensure that my disposition is sunny, positive, kind and helpful. This is the kind weather I choose to bring to the teams and projects I am involved in.
