Treatment foster care is a new initiative in the state of Texas to move children out of Residential Treatment Facilities and Psychiatric Facilities into a home environment. These youth need intense care but also a family that is loving and caring. We provided care to a 16 year old female. The care included a token economy motivation system, daily schedule, working closely with the school for academics and behavior modification, working closely with a Psychologist that visited her weekly, and working closely with a Qualified Mental Health Professional that visited with her weekly. Additionally, develop and maintain a relationship with DFPS and the child placing agency.Independent Contractor. Responsible for the daily operation of a group home housing 6 to 8 “at risk” youth. Development and implementation of treatment strategies for youth in care aimed at increasing socialization of youth through teaching practical, social, self-help, academic and maintenance skills necessary to function in a social environment.
