- Taught Information Processing With Microcomputer Systems to a class of 360 biology, psychology and business students so that some are pursuing more CS content in their degrees- Developed content for a python course to be more relevant to students in the game development program- Developed software methods content building on the work of Beck to align course closely with course outline

- Engaged students in tech writing, IT management and Metrics with examples from my software industry career so that they could speak some of the same language as their prospective employers- Led student's curiosity and experimentation with programming examples so that they could become more engaged in applications like messaging bots that interested them.

- Developed an IPAD product prototype to enable field sales people to sell and estimate more effectively while helping to deal with non-sales roadblocks in running a business- Wrote a survey instrument to get maintenance trades market input on the product design via questionnaire and phone follow up to use as the basis of a pre-sale- Redeveloped a Rails web application to coordinate subscription delivery with PCI compliant payments saving 1% on interchange using TD Canada Trust Online Mart and Beanstream- Automated a back office bank provisioning web application to serve 10 times the number of customers with the same number of staff

Doon Campus

- Achieved consistently positive student reviews by being well organized, really knowing the Active Directory, Exchange Server and Blackberry Enterprise Server material I was covering, and delivering labs that engaged the students- Reduced student frustration by making effective use of the shared vmware environment combined with the vmware player desktop environment and timely, effective troubleshooting in labs.

- Created a configuration tool so that a robotic document scanner could be configured while sales engineers were sleeping- Led certification effort for media viewer on Windows 7- Led successful certification effort for Web app and Image Bank Statements application on Server 2008- Organized successful certification effort for a payment decisioning application, previously certified on SQL Server version 6 on version 10.5 (Server 2008 R2)- Wrote Java examples to help Indian engineering team with image manipulation- Wrote product requirements documents that were used as examples in product lifecycle management training- Utilized uncertainty theory from engineering physics to establish reliable budgets- Utilized development artefacts from Enterprise Architect, JIRA's/Green-Hopper, repository, as well as stand-up meetings to help bridge between stage-gate and agile- Managed 4.1 discontinuation notice, control site planning and execution, professional services and support sign-off and sales training of 5.0 release of archive- Achieved first plan phase of NCR Waterloo's non-cheque product as a means of archival storage and revenue uptake from declining cheque volumes- Accelerated customer availability by 3 months by working with development to identify a workaround to bug discovered in control site- Founded cross-functional product realization team with membership from sales center of expertise, professional services and customer support to resolve 7 issues that had previously "festered" for more than a year- Transformed relationship with M&T bank from an almost failed image statements implementation to a successful implementation with 1 FTE savings continuing to a successful control site on an unrelated initiative, and now considering another again unrelated control site activity- Generated 12 invention disclosures with developers, other product managers and individually since becoming a product manager, 2 of which have resulted in patent applications

- Trained the trainers for a large cheque clearing application so that the Reserve Bank of India could implement the system with correspondent banks- Described the cheque clearing system in terms of the problems that the customer was trying to solve with it instead of features so that the training would be successful, but also so that the customer wouldn't continue to focus on incomplete features, thus setting a new direction for the implementation- Configured EMC and LSI storage and supported technicians doing the final installation to successfully implement large banking systems- Trained Central Bank of Libya in their system using the business problems that they were trying to solve so that they could successfully roll out the system to correspondent banks and NCR could quadruple it's revenue by also selling to the correspondent banks- Trained professional services from Nigeria to implement the clearing system so that they could later roll it out somewhat independently to Ghana

- Trained developers in India and US on complex banking application so that they could successfully perform deep level “follow the sun” support- Led development of system for UPS to outsource cash on delivery to JP Morgan and Chase, generating revenues to Chase of up to 20 million a year for the last 10 years- Produced live CBT to make UPS corporate trainers self sufficient in rolling out training- Isolated performance problems to the board for replacement by field engineers- Solved performance problems in complex multi-protocol network systems- Saved time and money sourcing used multiprotocol network routers to support legacy systems- Implemented large multi-os installations including LDAP for Linux integration- Federated directory between Bank and UPS so that UPS could control it's employee's activities on systems that were actually within the bank's domain- Leveraged linux to simulate a wide area network between UPS and a bank so that testing could be performed
