Engineer 2 (Consultant)
As an Engineer with Repligen I design single use flow path assemblies as well as work with system hardware engineers to ensure single use assemblies are compatible with the system hardware. In addition to this work, I am also responsible for managing all flow path assemblies used for site acceptance testing of all Repligen systems. With this I manage the need for all flow path designs for this testing and delegate design work among my team to ensure compatibility between the system and single use flow path. In my current role I am also responsible for reviewing designs for other engineers and providing weekly supervision for entry level engineers on my team.
Quality Engineer Ii - Contract Role
In my position at Terumo BCT I worked on converting all of models and assemblies from various CAD packages into Solidworks. When converting models, I started with either a drawing or physical part, and reverse engineered the part to create it in Solidworks using CAD best practices. I was also responsible for setting up the fastener toolbox which made adding fasteners to an assembly easier. This involved organizing 1000's of fasteners and categorizing them into a fastener type. I then had to add all of the appropriate variables to each part like part number, description, material, etc.As a level 2 Quality Engineer, I was also responsible for assisting other team members with other any issues they may have as well as review drawings and provide feedback.
Design Engineer - Product Support Engineering
In my position with Milwaukee Tool, I worked for the Product Support Engineering team as a design engineer. In this role, I manage 25+ projects varying from duplicate tooling efforts, warranty issues, and customer dissatisfaction. I split my time between design engineering and project management. In this role, I worked with co-workers both domestically and internationally to complete my projects.
Design Engineer
While working as a design engineer for SPI Lighting, I worked on the new product development team. In this role, I learned a lot about time management as well as managing a product from inception to distribution. As the lead engineer on the project, I developed innovative designs that met the needs of both the marketing team and our customers. I also worked with sales, marketing and manufacturing to ensure all timelines were met and the product was successful.
Service Shop Technician
As a service shop technician I am responsible for maintenance on skis/snowboards, bicycles, and other exercise equipment. I am also responsible for maintaining the shop area cleanliness. I need to balance long term service tickets in our computer system, along with same day walk up services as well.
Mtb Engineering Intern
My job duties included 2 main projects along with random daily tasks. The first main project I had was writing test standard documentation for the KnockBlock headset. My second project was running parts through stress analysis and building a library in Excel of all the results. These projects were given to me at the beginning of my internship and it was up to me to set the time line of the projects so that I completed them by the end of my internship. Along with my two main projects I had daily tasks that I had to manage as well. Some examples of the daily tasks I had are bike shop organization/management, building bikes for the photo studio/demo riding, test building frames, and mailing parts/packages. I really had to develop strong personal organization in order to balance all of these tasks within a standard work week.
Mechanical Engineering Intern
At SRAM I was an intern for the entire engineering team, focusing on mechanical engineering. I had a few different mechanical design projects along with some test development and management projects. For my testing tasks I used Excel to analyze data from various tests performed on bicycle powermeters. I was in charge of working with the engineering team and running various tests that were required for product to be developed. I had to balance the management of these tests along with other design projects I had. I also worked part time during the school year, balancing school and homework on top of tasks at work.
