In 2009 I founded 'Kahnsulting' - a boutique business advisory firm that has since organically grown to provide end-to-end services to startups and small to medium sized businesses. Kahnsulting currently plays the trusted advisor role to startups, small businesses and multiple family groups across Perth, Sydney, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.Previously, I have worked in the Risk Consulting services division in KPMG Advisory, Perth, and was involved in the end-to-end delivery of internal audits, including planning, leading interviews and providing our clients with improvement opportunities. I have worked with all KPMG's Risk Consulting's premium clients, both in the planning and delivery of our engagements, including on long-term secondments inside Woodside.Prior to joining Risk Consulting, I worked in KPMG's Private Enterprise division, with a focus on private clients, a division that focuses on international tax advisory, corporate secretarial, accounting and tax advisory solutions for medium to large organisations (under $50m), including some of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious private companies, such as IKEA, Minter Ellison, Lionel Samson, Mitsubishi subsidiaries and large private, national groups.My most recent engagements have been long-term secondments with Australia's largest oil and gas operator, assisting their in-house internal audit division on several key internal audits in the 2013 financial year. In addition, I have been engaged to assist in developing a world-class management system that leverages off good practice across the oil and gas industry for the same client.As of July 2014 I have been appointed to Crescent Institute's Advisory Board in WA and am the current Chair in Perth. Crescent Institute is one of Australia's pre-eminent business, thought leadership and networking groups that provides a platform for business leaders to connect with members in a social, intimate environment.
