Research thesis: Therapeutic effect of Curcuma longa supplementation againstcarbon tetrachloride (CCL4) -induced oxidative stress and acute inflammation in liver and kidney of Wistar rats.The active constituent of turmeric is known as curcumin, which has been shown to have a wide range of therapeutic effect. In our study, we evaluated the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of Curcuma longa by assessing the changes in histology and gene expression pattern in the rat liver and kidney on short term delivery of CCL4. Our preliminary data showed Curcuma longa causes hepatoprotective effect by attenuating oxidative stress and suppressing inflammation.● Created disease and treatment oxidative stress animal model ● Performed histology on liver and kidney tissues● Performed RNA extraction and analyzed the oxidative stress markers in liver and kidney before and after treatment.● Gene profile analysis and bioassay
