The Survivors Circle is dedicated to advocating for survivors of sexual abuse, fostering their personal growth and recovery through research, comprehensive education, resources, and support services. We collaborate with communities, institutions, and policymakers to raise awareness, promote understanding, and drive lasting change in order to prevent abuse and ensure a safer world for all.

•Ensure current and upcoming retention initiatives are progressing towards completion within time and budget requirements.•Collaborate with student success members across Education group to advance retention best practice and improve graduation rates.•Provide student service by acting as a tier-two specialist for non-traditional schools and oversight of the student customer service center. Identify and resolve student questions, concerns, and support issues. Refer appropriate issues to other departments and/or tier three support.•Identify, share and model appropriate and creative use of new technologies in delivering educational programs. •Monitor and report on student registration and attrition trends using Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS),Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, or other systems as required•Track student persistence and maintain retention percentages as part of retention initiatives•Assist in creating new retention programs that enable greater student connection and completion of their degrees•Work with Financial Aid, Treasury Operations, and Academic Records to coordinate service requests and proactively address student concerns•Document and maintain standard operating procedures within your workgroup•Directly interview, hire, train and supervise employees as assigned carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws

•Plan and implement yearly support programming for 270 students of Triumph, Surge, AmeriCorps, IMLS, and Athletics to increase college retention, transfer and graduation rates among first-generation, minority, and financially challenged students. •Develop recruitment strategies and execute the interviewing screening process and selection of students and faculty for summer enrichment program and mentoring relationships. •Create and administer general recruitment for undergraduate, special programs, special programs for high school students, advising, counseling and data collection for admission and retention analysis. •Assist in the creation, implementation, compliance, and daily management of multiple grants in the total amount of 1 million dollars. •Increased Triumph and Surge participation by 200% in one academic year, and assisted in the recruitment of 50 AmeriCorps Affiliate volunteers.

•Advised and co-created 25 alumni network organizations, alumni advisory board, and alumni association.•Oversee co-curricular programs that support, develop, and engage with over 25,000 students and 150,000 alumni across all academic schools including Business and Information Technology, Health Sciences, Nursing, Social and Behavioral Sciences, General Education, and Concord Law.•Supervise and advise higher education interns who manage student events, student activities, and student leader training program, graduation initiatives, student and alumni success stories, and social media presence.•Report qualitative and quantitative data on Alumni Engagement in university’s annual academic report.•Create and implement annual strategic plan that aligns with university’s mission/vision and manage department finances.•Co-created the Alumni to Student Mentoring program and recruited 100 alumni mentors and 150 student mentees.•Created the Alumni Engagement operational pillars of community, development and communication.•Established and managed the Kaplan University alumni association benefits package. Student Life Specialist•Increased institutional retention and engagement rates by 10% by creating, managing, and advising 35 registered student organizations and supporting 64 faculty advisors and 140 student leaders.•Created an online database of 30 streamlined departmental standard operational procedures on a Google website to centralize all training documents and SOP’s. •Worked directly with Deans and academic affairs to develop intentional programs and engagement opportunities associated with their respective schools to complement academic curricula.•Developed cross-functional training on services provided by Student Life to educate other support departments within the university.•Assisted in the establishment operational protocols, student outreach initiatives, departments marketing, and engagement objectives for the department.
