Working on health and wellbeing through the promotion of an active lifestyle (movement, sports, nutrition, social support), in connection with the people concerned. Nothing about them without them! That means working with (and trying to expand) the research methodology of Citizen Science. I also work as Compassion teacher using the Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living training as developed in the Netherlands, and as as teacher trainer of people who want to work as compassion teachers or incorporate elements of compassion in their work as e.g. health care professionals. Originally trained as a linguist, and also very passonate about (water) sports: sea sailing, windsurfing, supping, yoga, tennis, hiking and bouldering: love it all, do it all.
