I am a team of two people who are responsible for the safety of over 400 people in two connected warehouses. We have safety incentives and also safety citations that are handed out when needed. I train all new Genco Teammates on the Safety in our building and what is expected of them. I do walk throughs of both buildings and look for safety issues and report them to management. I am in charge of running the Safety Committee meetings and getting each meeting ready. I have approximately 30 Safety Committee Members in my groups. We work on getting the buildings ready for our 2 annual audits. I take care of all Accident and Incident reports. I filll out all paperwork and fax the reports to our Corporate Loss prevention office. Work with vendor to arrange and schedule first responder training. Maintain First Responder records.Assist and maintain facility core excellence audit. Monitor OSHA and non-OSHA corporate compliance standards within facility. Manage accident reporting and investigations along with completing post accident drug testing.Possess a working knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.Create or locate training materials for weekly safety topics/slogans. Conduct thorough Job Hazard Analysis and develop training for each identified hazard. Update various daily, weekly and monthly safety reports. Complete all annual safety training updates. Lead and maintain a safe working environment established by Genco safety guidelines. Assist in maintaining department 5S standards. I was responsible for scanning in returned Dell computer parts that were either broken or not needed by the customner. I learned 7 differen't scan types and I would train any teammates that needed help. I was the 5S champion of that department for awhile before I became Safety Coordinator.

I was responsible for all in bound furniture trailers entering our facility. I had to print all of the labels ahead of time so that the furniture could be properly labeled. I kept each days work filed with everything that came in that day plus all of the sign in logs and anything else that was pertinent to that day. I scheduled all of the in coming trailers and helped look for misplaced furniture.

I trained all new employees on how to load the outbound trucks properly. I completed all of the bill of ladings for the outbound trailer. I dealt with all the truck drivers and helped run the dock where the shipping employees scanned and loaded cartons. I drove a forklift and helped out where ever I was needed.
