Dr. Lloyd is a Springfield, Ohio native who earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Criminal Justice concentration from University of Cincinnati. She further pursued graduate studies, earning a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from National Louis University. Her research focus consists of implicit biases, cultural appropriation, diversity, racial identity, and systemic biases within the education and criminal justice system. She has presented at both national and regional conferences.Dr. Lloyd has experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse populations, children and adolescents, sex offenders and victims of abuse, severe mental illness, and individuals who abuse substances. She has completed training within inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, private practice, community mental health settings, and forensic settings. In addition, Dr. Lloyd has experience conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for the Courts, academic setting, and private entities. Dr. Lloyd conceptualizes through a psychodynamic and interpersonal lens to assist clients in gaining insight regarding their behavior, past experiences, and interpersonal relationships. Through the use of evidence based practices she utilizes creative intervention strategies to best meet the needs of her clients. Furthermore, Dr. Lloyd enjoys conducting process group therapy. Dr. Lloyd is passionate about her work with children and adolescents as she recognizes the long-term effectiveness of early intervention. She is also passionate about assisting others in adjusting through difficult times and developing effective coping skills.
