With over 35 years of experience in education, I've dedicated my career to supporting students, teachers, and staff through innovative Learning Management Systems and specialized databases. Throughout my journey, I've cultivated a deep understanding of Microsoft Office programs, served as an MS365 administrator, and honed my skills in data collection and analysis, leveraging them to drive leadership decisions and reporting.Among the various roles I've held, one of the most impactful experiences was my involvement in the groundbreaking Teacher In Space Contract of 1983-84, where I managed $10 million dollar grants, leaving an indelible mark on the educational landscape.My leadership extends beyond individual projects to encompass a diverse range of committees, including database management, academic council, policy and procedures committee, and more. I've served as a FAST representative, contributed to SAP initiatives, participated in the research advisory council, and played a pivotal role in university-wide committees such as centralize scheduling and grant application management.Armed with a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University, I am a staunch advocate for education and social justice. My commitment to nonprofit work extends to supporting marginalized communities both locally in Georgia and internationally in Honduras.Driven by my educational ethos, I actively engage in initiatives promoting racial healing and equity. As a member of All God's Children and various anti-racism groups, I believe in fostering understanding and empathy to dismantle systemic injustices. For me, acknowledging the history of oppression faced by our black and brown brothers and sisters is just the beginning.
