CurrentNew department established in November 2012 to meet the ever changing face of health insurance services. Direct a staff of personnel responsible for managing the systems and techniques used for billing, reconciliation and collection of accounts receivables for underwritten business. Operate as functional business owner for systems which produce rate calculations for quotes, sales, billing, communications, and renewals of individual and small group products. Responsible for the development, maintenance, and promotion of efficient and effective on-line, self-service invoicing and payment options and import of electronic data files. Work to continuously improve internal billing systems and rate engine tools, while ensuring these processes evolve to support new initiatives with innovations that optimize the customer experience and while meeting regulatory requirements. Oversee updates to rating engine in the implementation of new rating factors. Provide internal support, assisting with the resolution of customer issues, managing member campaigns, creating on-line tools, developing products and services.Accountabilities include the development of corporate policy and guidelines related to rating, billing, collections, cancellations, reinstatements, bankruptcy and write offs of underwritten consumer accounts. Monitor accounts to identify customers with delinquent payments, making decisions regarding collection efforts, cancelations, special circumstances, reinstatements and collection of delinquent unpaid and past due balances. Responsible for reporting, analysis, reconciliation and related interactions with public and private exchanges, third party administrators, state and federal government entities, employer groups, or other delegated representatives. Oversee journal entries, reconciliation and balancing of underwritten general ledger accounts. Ensure operational compliance, preventing fraudulent activity and minimizing financial risk to the company.
