I am a qualified Office Administrator with many years experience in the financial services industry, small business management, bookkeeping and accounting. I am studying Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting (dual qualification) which will be completed at the end of September 2020, my aims are to consolidate and improve my experience and knowledge; become more valuable as an employee and gain recognition of my skills and abilities.I have many years’ experience working in the financial services industry in a number of positions, all of which involved office administration duties, as well as customer service, being the first point of contact for customers and other parties, maintenance of customer records and compliance with legal and statutory requirements.I started a small service business in 2007 after leaving my former employer, and was, over a period of time, successful in building it to employ myself, my husband and a casual employee. I was responsible for all administration duties for the business, including all record keeping and maintenance, invoicing and bookkeeping, following up customer payments, customer telephone contact and personal relationships, estimating, planning, rostering and carrying out the physical work. The business was sold on as a going concern.As a member and office holder of small, local organisations, I have experience in, and been responsible for maintenance of member records, recording of meeting minutes, distribution of information through newsletters, correspondence, emails and telephone calls with members, other organisations and Thuringowa Council. My responsibilities also included arranging travel and accommodation for up to fifty people to various competitions and events from Brisbane to Cairns, arranging the Northern Zone Band Contest at Thuringowa, catering and most other aspects of social activities and group trips.
