Laurel Ridge Mission Resiliency is a Partial Hospitalization Program located in Killeen, Texas serving active duty service members and dependents. We offer a four week curriculum of groups, weekly individual therapy and family therapy. My role as a primary therapist at Laurel Ridge includes completing assessments, developing treatment plans, case management, leading groups, and providing individual and family therapy. I facilitate CBT, DBT, and pyschoeducational groups developing four core skills: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal relationships. I treat individuals with dual diagnosis, substance use, post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, and personality disorders. I am trained in evidence-based practices to include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Provides counseling for military personnel and their families using a variety of approaches. Responsibilities include scheduling clients and managing case loads of about 20, participating in supervision, and supporting the student chaplains. Utilizing training in taking crisis calls and walk-ins. Received training and supervision in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat trauma and related issues. Trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in treating couples. Incorporated the use of Sand Tray and Play Therapy for children and adolescents.
