DEWA DEPARTMENT: Responsible for the daily operations of the cable jointing department managing 80 staff consisting of Licensed Cable Jointers and Helpers. Coordinating with the Head Engineer regarding with the Job order and back logs, making daily progress reports, trip reports and conducting additional trainings pertaining to health and safety implemented by DEWA. Supervising Projects and Scheduled work from 11kv straight jointing works to 132 kv terminations and Shutdowns. SUB CONTRACTORS: Responsible for the supervision to all DEWA accredited sub-contractors from 11 kv cable jointing works and 132 kv Terminations, implementing health and Safety and maintaining the standard work given by DEWA. Coordinating with the contractors engineer regarding with the progress of the project and preparing all the necessary documents and detailed papers. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY: Daily monitoring of all departments vehicles and tools needed for the assigned job, checking and replacing all tools from wear and tear or any signs of damage. Making staff rota and schedules. Checking of staff overtimes and job orders coming from the department engineer, reporting to the commissioning about the progress of the assigned task. Checking of the site from the cable laying and the area should be with the safety standards of DEWA.
