I was asked by the board of directors of Canadian Digital Signs and Canadian Digital Network to help drive their culture, brand positioning and sales; and came in initially as their Interim CEO. As Vice President, Sales and Marketing I oversaw a national sales team as well as the creative and production team with locations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. My role included market research of multiple verticals and development of vertical solutions for our clients with the products a. nd services CDN provided. Product development, including emerging technology such as beacons, facial recognition, and touch screen technology for the digital out of home industry, along with mentoring, coaching and training for creative, sales and operations staff rounded out this role. In 2017 along with our CEO and VP Finance – we developed and executed the sale of our business which included all outdoor and indoor digital assets across Saskatchewan to Direct West - a SaskTel subsidiary.

As Chief Strategy Officer, I collaborated with clients to develop brand positioning, unique selling propositions, brand personality and value propositions that align with their business strategy. I conducted an audit of client’s business, industry, processes, systems, advertising materials and competition and then determine the best solution to meet my client’s business objectives.

As a Strategic Communications Consultant – I owned the high-profile files for the company (Safety, Finance, IT, Security, Environment, Procurement, Properties) writing strategic plans that lead SaskPowers external and internal communications. Some highlights include: 2012 SaskPower Annual Report (writing key messages, creative direction, project management). 2011 SaskPower Sustainability Report (writing key messages, creative direction, project management). 2012/2013 public safety awareness campaign (creative direction/writing/strategy).

As an owner and Senior Planner at Phoenix Group – I owned the company’s largest account, SGI, as well as a few not for profit and private sector clients. My role included: developing strategic marketing plans, project managing the creative and media process, managing the planning and billing on small to multi-million-dollar budgets, developing and implementing procedures and structure for the agency; specifically the account planning department, working as the liaison between the client and agency to create advertising through target specific mediums such as TV, print, radio, and online.
