I'm currently a research economist at the International Directorate of the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), Methodology and Special Studies Branch. I'm advanced SAS certified, have extensive experience with Excel and VBA, and a member of BEA’s R users group. I was project lead for creating the "BEA International Trade and Investment Country Facts" web application. My current areas of focus are data analysis, seasonal adjustment, and forecasting estimates.I previously worked at the Bureau of Labor Statistics in Current Employment Statistics, State and Area division where I was lead analyst for the northwestern states. While there, a co-worker and I developed an Excel package that automated estimate adjustment and standardized production documentation. It is still in use and to date has saved thousands of labor hours.I also have experience on Wall Street working in OTC operations and on the New York Stock Exchange floor for Prudential Financial. At my final position there, I was simultaneously Head Floor Clerk and an active floor broker.I’m conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
