Liaising with central government managing the amalgamation of all disparate data from across the UK, bringing academia & businesses closer together. Leading a project in response to the Deep-Water Horizon issue, using data to improve the decision making. Utilising machinery, satellite technology & the comms between them to ensure fast, accurate decisions were made. But I didn't do it alone. To succeed in anything, you need to surround yourself with good people, that is so true. People can be the most challenging part of being a leader but for me it’s still from where true competitive advantage stems. I am obsessed with continuous improvement, being the best I can be & encouraging my team to do the same. Watching people grow & seeing them fulfilled at work is infectious & it's why I value collaborative, innovative environments that are hardworking but also enjoyable, rewarding places to work.Outside of the day job my world revolves around family, friends, sport & travel. I’m a keen golfer and a big rugby fan.
