Having graduated with a Bachelor of Urban Development, majoring in Town and Regional Planning, I have a firm understanding of development practices and planning frameworks in the state of Queensland. In my new role as a Graduate Transport Analyst at Veitch Lister Consulting, I am keen to expand upon my existing data analyst, strategic planning and technical skill sets, while developing new capabilities such skills in transport modelling and consulting.With a long-standing interest in the role transport systems play in everyday life, I am always looking for opportunities to further explore the intricate relationship between the built environment and the systems of movement we use to navigate it. I have built upon my tertiary town planning experience with a work experience role within Redland City Council's Development Assessment department, where I received hands on education in development practices. In my current role at Veitch Lister Consulting I am looking forward to developing high level skills in transport modelling and analysis.I have also developed retail sales skills and fundamental team management and leadership skills through casual employment and managing student social clubs whilst undertaking my tertiary studies. Through my work experience at Redland City Council I had the opportunity to transfer these skills to a more professional environment and I hope to further develop my consulting and team leadership abilities through Veitch Lister Consulting’s highly developed team mentoring and training programs.
