In September 2021 I graduated from Cranfield University with a distinction in MSc Environmental Engineering with an average of 80%. Topics such as pollution science, soil science drainage and dam design, renewable energies and modelling were all studied during my time at Cranfield. My thesis topic was on the UK’s potential to produce hydrogen from Dark Fermentation where I achieved 84%.In September 2019 I graduated from the University of Plymouth with a high 2:1 in BSc (Hons) Environmental Science. During my time at Plymouth I was given the option to choose topics which allowed me to tailor my degree to what interested me. The optional topics I chose included Climate Change and Energy, Weather and Climate, Environmental Pollution, Waste Management, Climate Change: Adaption and Mitigation. Other key modules undertaken include Pollution Science, Environmental Management and Sustainability. The completion of my degree has also allowed me to become skilled in Arc GIS, EIAs, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Data Analysis, Management, and Microsoft PowerPoint. As part of my final year I had to undertake my dissertation project, in which I achieved a very high 2:1. The title of my dissertation was "Heavy metal contamination of river sediments in the Mid-Wales region and the distribution of these metals among different grain sizes". This project meant that I had to independently sample, analyse, present and conclude my findings on the contamination of river sediments across the Mid-Wales region. In addition to this, I offered potential reasons for the high levels of sediment contamination at specific sites as well as remediation tactics for the clean up of pollutants.
