Providing On-Call crewing for Fire Appliances and responding to emergency callsMain Responsibilities:• Respond to time-critical constantly evolving situations with potentially serious consequences. • Effect rescues for persons trapped or otherwise in danger• Ensuring crew safety standards and use of safe systems of work during operational deployment• Manage private and confidential information• Coordinate with and support other emergency services operational tasking (Police, Ambulance Service, Coastguard, etc.)• Maintain operational equipment and ensure that it continues to meet required safety standards• Make certain that operational training standards are met through both self-study and service-led training programmes.

Providing Third Line system and application support, including enhanced investigation of technical issuesMain Responsibilities: • Experienced in writing Puppet Code for automation of infrastructure management and automated application deployment• Utilising PHP, HTML, JavaScript and CSS to develop internal tools (both frontend and backend development)• Integration of PHP web applications with REST APIs.• Version Control of internal applications, scripts and puppet code using Git (Atlassian Bitbucket).• Automation of Frontend testing with Selenium.• Significant experience with Oracle SQL including integration with PHP• Exposure to Artifactory and Jenkins for automated building and deployment of applications.• Writing and implementation of monitoring solutions including custom alert design and implementation with Nagios.• Working with Micro-Service infrastructure.• Assisting the delivery of development projects to B.A.U. • Refining and Escalating issues to development teams for code fixes

Working as part of a 24/7/365 Shift Rota manning a service deskMain Responsibilities:• Supporting and monitoring online transaction processing platform in Network Operations Centre (NOC).• Monitoring and maintenance of software applications in both production and Disaster Recovery environments• Involved in System Patching and updates on Disaster Recovery and Live Production systems. • Data Manipulation and Analysis with Oracle SQL including writing complex queries for searching and reporting on large datasets. • Deploying new application versions to Production environment• Complex BASH and Shell scripting to automate platform tasks• Responsible for interfacing directly with clients via email and telephone communications• Using software solutions (OTRS, JIRA & Confluence) to document investigation and manage Production changes. • Managing Service Request escalation and investigation• Ensuring and enforcing PCI-DSS compliant working practices
